Oh Steve Jobs you…

Full Disclosure: I don’t generally like Apple products or Steve Jobs. I find the whole Apple ethos rather repulsive, the superchic, pompous attitude etc. makes me want to vomit. That aside, I believe that the iPod is one of the best engineered pieces of hardware out there. Not many electronic devices I’ve owned can get washed in the washing machine, and then put through the dryer and still work perfectly afterwards! However, the software restrictions occasionally make me want to smack something. For example, did you know that iTunes synchs to your iPod but not the other way around? Yeah, profoundly annoying. Not so much for me, because I backed up my library, but I was foolish enough to do it manually, and loose all of my playlists. So now I have to go back and manually reconstuct them all. Some have almost 100 songs.

So yeah, it be a bit of an understatement that I’m profoundly annoyed.
